I'm sure there are many uses for this scale. I used it to further assess my calorie consumption- before buying this scale, I just used a subjective method of how "full" I felt and guesstimated my calorie intake. To get below 8 or 10% body fat (for males) I found that I needed to "dial in" on my caloric intake. ENTER the EatSmart Nutrition Scale- It weighs my food- and with a quick glance in my log book, I press in my food's number and BAM!- nutrition info including calories, carbs, fat, fiber etc. Also, with the tare function, you can add more than one ingredient and know exactly how many calories, carbs, etc. you have added. The EatSmart Scale is easy to operate, has a reasonable price, and looks pretty good too. Yes- you COULD use a regular scale and search a Calorie King calorie book, but this scale makes it so easy and quick you won't want to! If you're wanting to count your calories quickly and easily- you can rely on the EatSmart.Customer Review: Too bad there isn't a six star rating

I've struggled for years with weight and logging food. EatSmart changed a chore to a minor task on the road to staying healthy.
The EatSmart scale makes it so easy and I don't have to worry about accuracy. Punch in the three numbers and I'm done. It's a great value for the price. And it sure beats thumbing through food guides and having t wonder if the information is correct or an average.
There is no doubt with the scale. No more guessing.
It helps me most when I'm working with new recipes that I plan to use more than once. It's so easy to calculate the calories for an entire recipe and then divide by the number of servings.
I have only one small suggestion. If you ever redo the interface on the display, consider displaying the nutrient information in the same order as it appears on a nutrition label on the food. Most food logs are geared to that method.

I don't usually have people weigh or measure food, but occasionally it is necessary. Most people find measuring, weighing and calculating a huge hassle. This scale has one specific feature that I find invaluable when working with those who do need to know.
The stand-out feature here is the ability to add foods to a plate without needing to remove what has already been calculated: Just enter a simple number from the provided handbook, and get your nutrition data; and continue to do with all the foods to be eaten. No more weighing separately, no muss, no fuss. It is easy to add foods not in their database as you go too.
It literally takes only a few moments to calculate the macro and some micro-nutrients of an entire meal, with no guess work.
Anyone with conditions like diabetes and heart disease, who need to watch certain nutrients, will wonder how they ever got by without one.

I'm using this scale as a tool to help me lose weight. I need a compact, efficient and durable kitchen scale to show me what portion sizes actually look like.
I am an active duty soldier living in the barracks. My space is limited and I don't have a kitchen of my own so I have to make the best of my conditions. This scale really suits my needs and is great at showing me the calorie costs in the food I serve myself.
It's pretty easy to use once you read the manual and it stores with minimal space usage. It's light, accurate and I think it's going to last a long time.
There are a lot of similar products available but I think this particular scale is the highest quality and most effective tool for the job.

This scale is convenient, accurate and easy to use. After owning the scale for a little over a month, it has become a routine part of meal prep. It's attractive enough to leave on the counter and doesn't take up much room. The data base of foods is extensive and I rarely look up an item elsewhere.
The "Nutrition Facts Calculator Mode" is not very useful for me since I keep a meal log in a spreadsheet anyway. It would have been far more useful if it allowed saving your custom entries to the data base.
Customer service is exceptional. My scale arrived with the glass plate detached from its mounting bracket. With one phone call I was talking to a very knowledgeable person and a replacement part was delivered in two days. He also told me how I could fix the damaged part so now I have a spare.
I'm a satisfied customer who would purchase from EatSmart Products again.
