The scale met every expectation and promise listed on the Amazon site.
My favorite feature of the scale is it's able to zero out any container before weighing the content placed in the container. This feature keeps the scale clean and free of food residue. All data features are easy to use and there is more information than I will ever use in each food analysis. The only feature I have had problems with is the brightness of the digital readout. I have a very bright (windows on 3 sides)kitchen and I find it hard to read the small data readouts. I also have a hard time reading my laptop in this room so I did not downgrade. One feature I would like to add to this scale would be a printer connection so I didn't have to write down everything. Even if this required an AC connection it would be desirable. Overall the scale does everything it promised to do.

The EatSmart Nutrition Scale has been absolutely fabulous in helping me lose weight and educate myself on what is in food. It's a sleek product, which I utilize extensively in my kitchen, principally by weighing foods and keeping a food diary. It is also useful for packaging 100 calorie snacks to take to work which are healthy and keep me in check.
Overall the scale is very well made, and the numbers on the digital screen are big and easy to read. The normal mode and nutrition facts calculator mode are both quite simple as well, and the database includes many of the whole foods i regularly eat. This scale does have the added advantage of giving information on 12 nutrients, which other scales cannot do. I really cannot live without this product.

This product is so helpful! I'm one of you that never writes a review. I simply had to for this scale as it is sooo EASY and I use it several times a day. It is such a reliable kitchen help/companion that I almost talk to it. It takes the guessing out of portions!
I read the countless positive reviews and now am glad to add mine. It is well worth the price. My primary goal related to nutrition in relation to calories as at age 59 I have decided to get in shape and lose some extra pounds. I was tracking calories in a book for the first few months. This has made that even easier. This helps to determine portions also.
I affirm the ease of use of this scale and the fact that it takes very little room on our counter. Also, my husband is using it also. We had read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell on a plant-based diet. That changed our lives! At age 58 & 59 we have made major diet changes. That is why we ordered the Eat Smart Scale. We are very happy with it!

I won this scale in an online contest about a year ago, and I loved it. I think the measurements are very accurate, I like that it measures in 1 gram increments, and I really like the way it looks, with the glass. It might be a little big for some smaller kitchens, but if you needed to you could put it away when you're not using it, like on top of the fridge or something. I did find, though, that I never really used the nutrient calculator feature. I log my nutrition on a website, and it has all of the information I need, so I never really needed the included database. But if I hadn't had the resources I already had, the included database would have been very helpful. One drawback, I thought, was that to enter your own foods, you have to enter one nutrient at a time. You can't just enter all the information at once and have it tell you calories, and fat, and fiber, whatever, you have to do each one at a time. I bought this scale after reading the reviews. I have not been disappointed. I needed a scale that would be Extremely accurate because I am on a restricted calorie diet; I have to say that this scale fits the bill. I tested it by using the same Item and placed it on the scale over and over again; I put it in the same spot and in different spots and the scale read it the same every time. The features work great. I love the tare function, but it would be nice if it was back lit. Some reviews say it is hard to see with a large object on it and I can see how that could be a problem, however I have not run into it. the platform is large enough that you can push the plate towards the back so that it over hangs and bit, that way you can read it. I have to say the print is small, but readable. All the buttons on the front work great, are easy to find, and use. This scale has helped me a lot and I definitely would recommend it; in fact, I have!
