Customer Review: Don't Buy This Knife

Do your self a favor and buy an electric knife that plugs into an outlet. My knife worked for about six months, gradually got slower and slower and then in another month just quit all together. Not long enough to justify the price.
I called to get a replacement battery and the operator asked, "Did you leave the battery in the charger?". "Yes", I did. "Well" she says smugly, "That's why it quit. You're never suppose to leave it in the charger for longer than 10 hours at a time". That didn't explain why it worked just fine for the first six months, and, I hadn't recalled reading that in the instructions, which I HAD read front to back when I got the knife.
I ordered a new battery anyway ($9.99 w/shipping) and went back and read through the manual three more times. NO mention of not leaving the battery in the charger for more than 10 hours. Only that you ARE suppose to charge it for at least 10 hours before the first time you use it.
This is a beautiful knife with the best looking blades on the market, but you just can't get enough power out of the battery operated system long enough to justify the price or be happy with it.

Despite the bad reviews i still like the sonic blade.I have one and it did work great on most everything.ButI also had the one side of the blade plastic brake off.It still worked though.And i got to warn not to use on hard cheese it was the end it will not work at all after that.But i still like the way it works so i bought another one.When i recieved the new one there was slip with a toll free # saying to call if their were any problems to call.So i did and they are sending a new one.Hopefully they are working on some improvements to this device cause when it does work it works great.NOT ON HARD CHEESE THATS A BIG NO NO.
