Customer Review: There has to be a better cordless knife

I've had a Sonic Blade since I first saw it advertised on T.V.
Actually I was pretty happy with the performance until, about 3 months after purchase, the plastic decorative pieces on the blades just fell off.
No big deal, right? Oh, it was but a harbinger. It was very difficult to keep the battery charging. You have to keep "tapping" the end of the battery until the red "charging light" stays on. No big deal...right?
Unlike as it is advertised, the Sonic Blade knife blades do NOT (I repeat...NOT) stay sharp for life. They are good for, oh, say, six months of regular use and then you will notice a significant drop-off in the sharpness of the blades. As the battery began dying a gruesome death, sometimes working sometimes not, you will notice a dramatic loss in power to the blades. Neither the battery nor the blades are as advertised, in my humble opinion of course.
I have to say it performed admirably though, in the beginning. I loved using it for everything, even cutting through whole chickens and turkeys and other meats after cooking. Doing the slicing the tomatoes and veggies real thin, chopping away, etc, etc.
Finally, recently, the battery died completely. SOoooo, now I cannot find a replacement. FINAL DECISION=I would never buy this product again...ever.

I bought this knife from Amozon and received it in a few days, great delivery. It is easy to use and makes carving much easier. I recommend this knife and Amazon is an excellent on-line source to buy from.
