Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Emson Bacon Wave, Microwave Bacon CookerCustomer Review: Best Thing To Use For Sliced Bacon! I Love This Bacon Wave. Summary: 5 Stars
I had one of these Bacon Waves and literally wore it out. I used it for at least ten years until all the upright prongs fell off. The bacon slices stay uniformly flat and do not curl, like they would using a conventional glass pan in the microwave or open skillet frying. Eliminating the grease is easy by tilting the Wave and pouring excess drippings into a container or discarding it.
To clean the Wave: pour off the grease immediately after using, place in hot soapy water to soak (brush if necessary) and then put into diswasher.
I just ordered two more of these Bacon Wave cooking trays and hope Amazon never runs out of these amazing Bacon Waves. Thanks, Amazon, for always having the items I need.
Customer Review: Works pretty darn well. Summary: 5 Stars
I waited for a year or so for the price to come down on this. After all, it's just a low end kitchen gadget. Some places still sell this for $25 but I was able to find one for $7.99 (+ Shipping)
I use it with thick sliced bacon and yes, it works suprisingly well. Easy to insert the bacon, fast, evenly cooked, perfectly formed, no splatter, and cooked the way I like it, slightly chewy, but a nuking it little longer makes a nice crispy result.
Customer Review: Baconwave Review Summary: 5 Stars
I used a similar product for microwaving bacon in the past. However, this is by far the best I have ever used. I followed the instructions and the baconwave is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to cook bacon quickly and easily. It is also a healthier approach since the grease is released to the bottom of the baconwave. The best part is being able to remove the bacon with the skewers. Try it - you won't be sorry!
Customer Review: This thing is great! Summary: 5 Stars
I have a half time convection/microwave oven and I use this bacon thingy all the time, I love it.. Quick and easy. Here's a hint. Use some cleaning vinegar that you can get in the little spritz bottles and spritz the bacon wave with that before you rinse, or spritz it with a little Mean Green(or other degreaser) straight from the bottle and let it sit for a few minutes and it'll wash clean as a whistle with no scrubbing.
Customer Review: Bacon Wave-- Don't Microwave At Full Power! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this product... I bought it as a replacement for one I had used for many years that finally fell apart. It is great for reducing the oiliness of the bacon and making it nice and crispy. The only suggestion I have that was NOT included in the instructions is to microwave on less-than-full power. Our microwave is apparently very powerful and melted the plastic to the bacon the first time we used it.
