Easy job , no mess, 24 hours later and its done.
The best part is that its natural...no BS or whatever...plain natural wholeness!
The best way to get it right is first you have to make a batch of 8 jars of natural yogurt on the Donvier electronic Yogurt maker, then you can make out of that batch 2 cup of natural cream cheese.
Look... it takes the same effort to go to the supermarket and buy the yogurt than to make it yourself. It just takes patience.

I bought one of these on Amazon the other day. It works exactly as described. I used ordinary fat-free yogurt to create strained yogurt (or yogurt cheese) in 2 hrs. I only wish they made a bigger model to make more at one time. But this thing is great. Cleans easily, too.

PS--I tried this again, using the cheapest fat-free yogurt I could find. Turned it into thick, creamy fat-free yogurt that wasn't too tart, and tastes as good (or better) than expensive yogurt (fat-free or not!).

I love Greek-style yogurt and have been paying a premium price for it at the grocery store. However, since I bought this yogurt maker, I've been able to make my own for much less than what I was paying. The yogurt tastes wonderful and it's quick and easy. Depending on how thick you want it, you usually have to empty out the whey once due to the shallowness of the bottom, but it's a quick 5-second job. I would highly recommend this product if you like the thick, custardy type of yogurt.Customer Review: I Am A Cheese Maker...

I love this little item. Small and simple...easy to clean and store. You simply take really good plain yogurt and pour it in and the watery part drains out and you end up with a thicker creamier Greek yogurt. You can even make yogurt cheese out of it. I have made amazingly delicious good for you dips with the thick yogurt that you get from this device. I probably use it at least once a week.
It is a wonderful addition to my collection of fun and useful kitchen gadgets...

I love my Cuisipro Donvier Yogurt Cheese Maker! I purchased it on 4-15-07 and eat a minimum of 2 quarts of yogurt cheese in two weeks. I replaced sour cream years ago with plan yogurt, but now use yogurt cheese instead and the consistency is more like sour cream. I love mixing 100% fruit preserves with yogurt cheese for an easy dessert for my husband and me.
Would I purchase the Cuisipro Dovier Yogurt Cheese Maker again? I sure would! I can't live without my cheese yogurt now!
