These really do keep foods from going bad! Especially useful for those of us that shop at a mega-mart and have no idea how "fresh" an item really is. Frequently, I find produce turns very fast sometimes, probably because it isn't that fresh to begin with. These bags save money and disappointment! I've had some trouble on a few foods, like tomatoes, where they seem to actually make mold come faster, and as the product says, they don't last forever. After about 20 washings, mine seem to be less effective (not that they need to be washed every use).

I've been using these bags for years and have been sharing them with friends since it was a former co-worker years ago that first shared them with me. I won't buy produce without them! I'm convinced that they have saved me countless dollars helping to prevent my great purchases from spoiling before I can use them up. My diet consists of fresh salads, vegetables, and fruits daily so I purchase in volume to get the best prices. I still find it amazing how long my produce will last, consistently. I have no idea why these bags work so well, but they do.
I rarely use plastic around food but my re-usable vegetable bags were not keeping my produce fresh. So I bought these Debbie Meyer bags on a whim.
These keep my carrots and celery fresh for two weeks. The bags are easy enough to wash so yes, they are re-usable.
I used to throw away so much produce as it would spoil before I had a chance to use it. No more with these bags. Can't tell you how much money I have saved.

I am giving these bags five stars because they do actually work. They won't keep things fresh for 8 days but they definitely buy you 2 or 3 more days with delicate fruit and salad and maybe 4 or 5 days with kale and broccoli. It really makes a big difference, especially if you are one person and can't eat everything in two days but want to have produce throughout the week. I used one box for six months, using about 5 bags per week, and using them again until they seem to not work and then switched to another set of five.Customer Review: They sure work for me!

For the life of me, I don't know what people who say these bags don't work are doing wrong. For me, they work GREAT. For that matter, I don't know why everybody doesn't give them a 5-star rating. Cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers and celery last MUCH longer than vegetables in regular plastic bags or exposed to air in the fridge. I'll admit that spinach is a disaster, spoiling faster than in its regular container. I don't know why that is. Perhaps it depends on the type of fruit/vegetable you store in them.
