I bought these a month ago...the deluxe bags with the zip lock closure. They are absolutely amazing. I do not buy produce every week anymore and my lemons and limes look like I just bought them after 3 weeks. I am telling you, they have already paid for themselves in savings from not having to throw out produce. I haven't tried them with lettuce because they are too small unless you cut it up first. I have kept parsley, peppers, cilantro, cukes, lemons, limes, and zucchini in them with great results. I highly recommend them. Perhaps the zip lock (deluxe) type is better than the other type. Who knows. All I know is that they do just what they are advertised to do.Customer Review: These Do Work

These bags absolutely do work, but you can't just toss berries in them and then leave them for a month. Foods that produce moisture, need to have any wetness wiped out of the bag (as per the directions, which you should read). I use them for bananas and strawberries more than anything else. Bananas will keep from browning but after about an extra week, they will be mushy inside. Strawberries will stay great in the bag, in the fridge for two weeks or more for me. Again, I wipe the "sweat" out of the bag every day. If you want to toss something in the bags, then forget about it for weeks and expect it to be delicious, then you are looking at the wrong product.Customer Review: The best bags!

I can chop and wash a head or bunch of lettuce, put it in the bag and store it for at least twice as long as a bag of pre-cut salad from the grocery store. Debbie needs to get hooked up with Dole or some other veggie brand to sell pre-cut salad in these bags from the store. These bags are great! We've really loved the bread storage bags, too! I don't know how they work, but we've used them on grapes, tomatoes, bananas, blueberries, and salad. It's nice to be able to pre-wash stuff and put them in the bags to use for later, knowing that it'll all still be good for at least a week! With 2 kids under 2, they've been a huge time and money saver!Customer Review: Fabulous Product!

The negative comments here baffle me. This is an absolutely fantastic product! It works perfectly. I only regret that it wasn't invented sooner. We have used the bags for strawberries, blueberries and raspberries all of which are extremely perishable, of course. Left out or in the containers from the store, they will go bad in a day or two. In the Debbie Meyer Green Bags they keep for days. Hallelujah! Fresh berries aren't cheap and the waste was killing us. Now, it's not a problem at all.
This ranks right up there with the FoodSaver vacuum sealer as one of the most cost-effective, waste-preventing kitchen accessories ever.
Customer Review: Great for salad greens and fruit--stunned that many rate poorly

I've had the bags for about a month now. I like to buy prewashed salad greens (just to make life easier), but the greens would get limp before I could finish a bag. Now I transfer them into the green bags--and they last 2 weeks. I do not close the bags tightly; I just put in the greens, and fold over. I have also used it to preserve melon halves. When we buy a honey dew or cantaloupe, half gets eaten right away but the other half would usually get wasted. I find that with the green bags the melon half stays good for 8-9 days. As others mentioned, I also wash and reuse the bags--no problem. I am stunned at the many negative reviews.
