I have had this exact muddler for about 5+ years now and it is the best!!!
I am a professional bartender at a 4 diamond resort in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and this is the muddler that I use.
It is hard wood.
It is NOT stained or sealed. (alcohol will eat through stains and sealants...they end up in the drink -messing up the taste- and then in your guest -messing up their body-... NOT at all acceptable).
yes, it MUST be hand washed but it is well worth the little bit of extra work at the end of the shift...
I absolutely recommend this muddler!!!
