I have several of these (both sizes) and it Greatly helps with keeping the cool air from coming in and also closing up the vents where we don't need to waste heat.
The big ones stay well on the wall and we only use the smaller ones on the ceiling.
I'm back to buy more!

The vent covers were shipped quickly. They are easy to cut to fit any vent. As long as the vent is a metal that the magnet can react with, they stick fine. I would recommend these for blocking floor vents but not ceiling vents, magnet is not strong enough.Customer Review: OK, could be better

Great idea. Easy to size & fit, but they're just barely magnetic. By itself it would not work with a ceiling-mounted vent -- even with vent fully closed the air flow blew the magnetic cover off.Customer Review: May work for somebody else

I have a vent directly over my bed. Tried this product to cover it up. Even with the vent switched over to the closed position, if the heat or air was blowing, the magnet in this product is not strong enough to stay stuck to the vent. I even tried to put glue dots around the edge to help it stay put. This worked to keep it in place for about a week. I was a little disappointed with this product. We have our vents in the ceiling and it doesn't have enough magnetic strength to hold itself up there. However, for the price I paid that's what I should have expected.
If your vents are on the ground, I bet they would work spectacularly.
