I have no problem crushing aluminum drink cans with my hands. I have come very close to cutting them on sharp edges where thin cans may rip open when I do. This tool allows me to safely crush them without having to worry about cutting myself. It still takes a bit of effort to crush, but now even my wife can crush them too.Customer Review: oceanview

This can crusher has worked really well for us.It sits on our kitchen counter where the cans are "produced". It does not take up much space and is not unsightly like the wall mounted ones. Be aware that this does not flatten cans from top to bottom, but crunches them in the middle. The cans become smaller than they were, but not by that much. It does not have to be mounted, and it is pretty sturdy and easy to use. The shipping was costly and not very speedy. Overall, it is better than nothing.Customer Review: It's OK

The bottom of the crusher is too rough for my counter, I had to glue a rubber mat to the bottom to feel I could use it on the counter. I also wish it would crush the cans just a little smaller. This item is horrible to anchor, as well as use for anyone who isnt HULK. My children wished to crush cans for a recycling project. The design seemed great. However, the materials used were shoddy and the cans never stayed in one place. Finally, we bought a curshed at Harbor Freight for 4 bucks. It works GREAT with no flaws! I dont blame the vendor one bit. However, I have yet to receive my refund......of 36 bucks including shipping!
