I love this machine. I always wanted to try my hand at making pasta and this machine is great. I have learned that making pasta is very time consuming, but I have already used it on three rainy Sundays and it is a fun thing to do if you are not in a hurry. The pasta looks great and tastes great as well. I've tried everything except the ravioli...that will be next. Pour yourself a nice glass of wine and take your time, you will have fun and be proud of your creations. I highly recommend this particular pasta maker!Customer Review: Pasta maker

My Son is going to school to be a chef with Le Cordon Bleu, he asked for a hand cranked pasta maker for christmas. I was lost until I went to Amazon.com they not only gave me a selection but educated me on the different components and features. We settled on the V178 Al Dente 5 peice pasta set, as it makes 5 diffent kinds. It came right away and was packed very well, my son was so thrilled and brought it to class, 5 other students went on line and ordered one!!!!!Customer Review: great pasta machine!

The first pasta machine (V178 Al Dente) that was sent had two duplicate heads, so we followed instructions as to how to send the machine back in order to receive a complete set. It worked really well -- the machine was delivered (with all correct heads) in just under two weeks! Very impressed. The pasta machine is great! Thanks. I bought the pasta maker and I was amazed at how sturdy it is for the price I payed. I was under the impression that it was going to be smaller and the metal was going to be lighter. I was dead wrong.
The only thing that made me feel a little unconfortable is the instructions manual. It does not include instructions on how to use the thing, thanks goodness for youtube on that regard.

The pasta machine is simple to use and great for using food storage. I've been able to prepare various pasta dinners using only my emergency supplies. There's a lot to be said for that. How many people are going to be sick of wheat if there's a major earthquake and supplies can't reach them?
