I was surprised by the above reviews about this crockpot cooking on too high a temperature. I have not had this problem at all. I made a beef stew, chicken stew, and pulled pork with this slow cooker so far. I always use the 10-hour low setting because I work all day. These meals have come out just fine every time. Maybe I have a newer version (I just got this as a gift in October 2007)? Anyway, this slow cooker has worked very well for me and I have had no problems at all.Customer Review: Couldn't live without my slow cooker

We've had this slow cooker for 3+ years and use it often - few times each week, year round. I have not one complaint. In fact, I'm shocked by the comments here since we are truly in love with ours. The quality seems very durable, it's easy to clean as long as we don't forget it and leave it out overnight (learned that the hard way but still got it clean!), and large enough for our family of four to have leftovers. I don't understand the reviews of this crockpot that say it is too hot and the food gets done too fast. I don't agree, that is what crockpots are supposed to do. I love this crockpot and the size is great for my large family. Because I ordered the stainless steel model it does get a little hot to touch, however, it is wonderful to clean. I have used it several times and the food was done perfectly and was very tender. I'm so glad I purchased this model.Customer Review: Good value and great product

After about a month of use, we have absolutely no complaints with our new crock pot. It's a great way to cook for a lot of people without a lot of effort - and the results (assuming you have good recipes) are usually pretty good. I'd recommend purchasing a slow cooker cookbook if you're not sure what you're going to make - there are a lot of recipes in them one wouldn't normally consider (lasagna, pizza, etc.).Customer Review: I love this cooker

I just came upon this review while making a purchase for my parents - I have had this cooker for 5 years and LOVE it - my food comes out tender and flavorful - the settings allow you to cook on low for 8-10 hours or quicker - I always use the longer setting - I have never been disappointed - :)
