I love this slow cooker! You can brown your roasts and get a bunch of yummy fond, toss in the remaining ingredients, stick the pot in the base and you've got a real roast when you come home. I had to upgrade to this larger size due to family eating more (you get that when kids grow!) and I wouldn't even consider switching to any other style of slow cooker. I even use it as a bean pot to make baked beans in the oven and for fondue parties. This thing is so wonderfully versatile: make a stew richer by finishing it off in the oven, no new pan needed. My husband brings it to work for potlucks and I've never have a problem cleaning it. There's only one thing: I don't just stick it in the fridge to hold leftovers...because I always need it in a couple days. This is the one. Get it!Customer Review: WOW!

I bought this slow cooker after my wife was complaining about her old one. The old one had poor temperature control that limited actual slow cooking. I selected this one after reviewing Consumer Reports and we've already used it several time in the few short weeks since we purchased it. My wife is so pleased with the unit that she is revamping dinner options around the cooker! Now in my opinion that speaks volumes. We made one dish with the new cooker that we had tried with the old one. The dish was a Greek meatloaf. The old cooker gave us a hard dried up lump while the new cooker gave us a delicious, moist meal.
The clean up is easy and it is nice that it is dishwasher compatible.

We find the little green indicator light kind of blinding (from across the room!) and the handles dangerously hot during and shortly after cooking, but this is otherwise a great deal. The other item I looked into was the All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker from Williams Sonoma. At 1/4 the price, this is most satisfactory alternative. I really enjoy not having to move a hot and heavy dripping roast from the pan I brown it in to the insert to finish cooking! I appreciate that the insert is dishwasher safe, but I found that I had to re-scrub the bottom to get it clean.. however, this is probably the function of not using the pots & pans cycle on the dishwasher.Customer Review: THIS CROCK POT WORKS GREAT

Love this crock pot. The digital display on the front is a good idea. Easy to know how much longer it is till the meal is done. I used it to make a big batch of split pea soup. Great recipe is included in the recipe book that comes with it. I cant wait for St. Patrick's Day, when we will make a nice brisket with cabbage dinner!! It's big enough that a good sized piece of meat will fit in it nicely, leaving plenty of room for more ingredients. Cleans up easily. The ceramic pot comes out easily too. Minor issue, but I wish the cord was a little longer. Would recommend this to friends without question.Customer Review: Worth the money

Wow, this crock pot is amazing! After reading reviews on all of the new versions out there, I decided on this one (even though it was more expensive than the others I was considering). Boy am I glad I did!
This one cooks with the proper heat and did not smell like plastic, like some reviews claimed.
It is extremely versatile: I have used it in the microwave and have sautéed in it on the stovetop as well. It makes cooking an entire meal in one pot very easy and tasty. And I pop it in the dishwasher when I'm done---SO EASY!
This crock pot is definitely worth the money!
