This rice cooker was a disappointment from the start. The rice is still hard if you use the recommended amount of water. It splatters water all over because it's trying to boil over, even with the "correct" amount of water. You'd have better results cooking it on the stove for the amount of time you have to spend messing with it to get it to cook your rice right.
