Customer Review: Now My Steaks Are Done Right

I've used this thermometer for a few months now and it works perfectly for me. It responds very quickly when inserted into the food. The sensor in the tip is not bare like some fast read thermometers, so it's not likely to break if the unit is dropped. The metal covering the tip is thin enough that the reading is stable within 8 seconds. I stick it in, count to ten, pull it out and get the reading. There is a "hold" function button as well as a "max" button. Either of these can be used to avoid having the tip cool down in the couple of seconds it takes to read the display. The protective cover has a nice lanyard that makes it easy to keep the meter handy as you cook. Since the lanyard is attached to the cover you can keep the lanyard on when you're using the meter. I'm pleased with this little tool and plan to buy a couple for Christmas gifts this year.
