The numbers are small, but even with my fat fingers I have no problem programming it. I use it every day. I have mine stuck to the front of my stove where it stays with no problem. Not certain why the other reviewer's moves. Model number on the back of mine is TM23-S
The alarm is loud enough that I hear it in my basement when it goes off. (I am often at my desk in the basement, which is just beyond the stairs that go up to the kitchen.)
One feature I like is when the alarm goes off, it begins counting up. So when you get to it, you know how much time went bye since the alarm sounded.
I was able to set the time on mine without even reading the directions, but I agree it is a bit confusing. It will display in either 12 hour or 24 hour mode.
Press the clock button once to see the current time. Then press and hold the clock button again and hold it until the display flashes. Now, you must program it quickly or the darn thing returns back out of "time" programming mode as I call it.
First option is 24HR or 12HR display.
To change from one to the other, Press the start/stop button.
Press clock button again to move to next option.
If you had selected 12 hour, AM/PM is the next setting.
To change from AM to PM, Press the start/stop button.
Press clock button again to move to next option.
Next Option is Hour setting.
One gotcha is when keying in the Hour, it requires 2 digits. So to tell it 9:05 you key in 09 (not 9) for the hour and 05 for the minute.
Also you must key in a value, or you can't move to the next option. So if the clock is set to AM 9:50 and you want to change it to AM 9:25, you must key in 09 for hour even though it already displays 09.
Keying in the hour value moves you to the minute setting.
Key in the minute and it moves you to the second setting.
Key in the second setting and you are done.
