Customer Review: Inexpensive canning pot, does what it it supposed to do

This item is exactly what it is supposed to be, an inexpensive canning pot. The metal is thin but that is normal for this sort of thing. The enamel stands up to a high flame with no damage (a really high flame, I bought a propane outdoor burner too). It cleans well and is big enough to do 7 quart jars. Plus I can store all my extra jars and stuff in it when I'm not using it!Customer Review: It's a multi-tasker!

The canner was a holiday gift, and immediately put to use to brine the Christmas turkey. It worked great and held up under freezing temperatures outside, no rusting, no leaks, and just the right size. We'll actually use it for canning as soon as we can! It didn't come with tongs or other canning utensils, but it was easy to buy them at the same time.Customer Review: Novice canner

I only started canning this year and this canner is great. Although I use mostly pints this canner is large enough that I don't have to add water during the process. I bought a pint rack separately and it works great in this canner. I have a ceramic top stove and this canner heats up quickly--especially with the lid on.

Bought this at a big box store here in UT. When I got home I saw that the lid had a pretty big dent in it and the enamel was chipped. I called customer service for the manufacturer in Indiana, no computer queue, and they just took my address and are sending a new lid. Being from a large family who gets together as often as possible, being able to feed everyone is very important to us. Having the equipment to do it is a must. When our old stockpot got chipped I wasn't able to find a replacement anywhere in town. Amazon saved me. and it was a great buy to boot!!
