This was really easy to put together and looks great! Very sleek and modern with a tough finish. The base is a little wobbly but a little bending took care of that. The base and upright pole really need 3-4 screws in them to make it more stable but does fine with just the one. We've got 4 winter coats and a few hats on it now and it is standing tall and straight. Definitely worth the inexpensive price!
UPDATE: I ended up drilling holes through the base plate and into the legs so I could put some additional screws in for better support after it developed a bit more of a wobble from continuous use. There's a plastic cover that goes over the plate and legs so the screws don't show at all. Less than ten minutes and it is extremely sturdy now.

So far I've been glad I purchased this. Assembly was very easy and had it up and running in 10 min or so (despite a few reviews saying it needs a degree in rocket science to put together).
I have mine on carpet and it hasn't tipped over yet; even with a lop-sided load carrying only my heavy Carhartt coat and a wind breaker on one side. It's a little wobbly to the touch, but doesn't seem to have any issues supporting a full load of coats.
Fit and finish is more than acceptable for my needs but is merely a matte black tube steel. Sturdy, but nothing fancy.
Overall, I think it's about the best bang you can get for your buck if you're looking for something like this. Recommended for its value.

When I want to buy something online I almost always go to the Amazon website. It's nice to know that there is a place that you can shop and people are honest and that you can count on their integrity. Of course the average skeptic would say, "well, that's a given, and things should be that way." But get real....the majority of people are not necessarily honest. Unfortunately the minority are honest....I remember when that role was reversed......Anyway, Amazon appears to be a company bent on trying to please the consumer. It's a good product for the price. I wanted a cheap coat rack and this was the best deal (20 bucks) I could find. The coat rack is made of metal, has good finish and is strong but the only disadvantage with it is you can't hang heavy coats because it tends to tip off the ground. The base of the stand is about 2 feet (not huge) and hence not stable....it's good for medium and light jackets. If you have a couple of heavy ones...make sure you hang them on the opposite sides to balance it. overall its a great product for the price. would recommend it for small and medium homes.
