We used to have an over-the-door rack in our bedroom for my husband to hang his robe and the clothes he wanted to rewear before washing(really, the ones didn't want to have to hang up!). Well, the door rack made a mess of the door so, when we repainted, I came up with the solution to put a coat rack in the bedroom! This has turned out to be a fantastic idea! It looks great, there are no clothes on the floor, and I didn't have to spend a lot for it. As I said, it's very attractive, sturdy enough, and it holds a lot of clothes. My husband hangs his heavy jeans and belts and tipping is not an issue. That said, we have not put coats on it, but it seems very sturdy. It was also simple to assemble. If I have a criticism, it's that the bolts loosen and I have to retighten them from time to time. 26 years of poking holes in the mantle by my husband so that the kids and grand kids could "hang their stockings by the fireplace" took its toll. after paying $4,000 plus to have it replaced I was NOT about to let a hammer near that oak piece of wood
Instead I purchased this coatrack, let the kids and grandkids decorate it with ribbon and streamers and each has a dedicated holder for their stocking. At the end of the season, we plan to use it to use it as a rack for the pets outdoor weather gear. I really like this item. ::two thumbs up:::

Excellent coat rack for the price. Holds multiple coats, jackets, and bags without falling over. It's compact and fits nicely in a corner of the room, so is perfect for places with little space, e.g. dorm rooms. The black and simple design is nice. All parts came in one piece and assembly instructions were provided, taking me 10 or 15 minutes for assembly. Product arrived on time. Slightly wobbly, but shouldn't be a problem for normal use. I purchased this to replace my previous coat rack Twist Style Cherry Finish Wood Coat Rack Stand which not only could not maintain its balance but actually broke in two in just one month of moderate use. This product however has a surprisingly good balance once the weight is added. I ordered this coat tree for entryway in our house, and it's perfect. For such a low price, this item is a winner. Its clean lines, and 8 useful hooks are the perfect answer to lack of a coat closet, and it's very sturdy. Takes less than 10 minutes to set up. After looking at several choices for coat trees(wood and metal) this is by far the best product for design and usefulness I could have chosen. Buy it--look no further!
