Thanks to all the previous reviews, I purchased this waffle maker for my husband for Christmas. We've already used it a few times and thoroughly enjoy the waffles--they are so perfect. I'm still figuring out the "color dial" but even if it dings that it's done I just wait a few more seconds, as I like mine pretty dark, sort of crunchy. Yummers!
The design is great, easy to use, easy to store. The entire process of cooking is not complicated, which I appreciate.
Try adding a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter--adds a little something.

I've never own a waffle maker before. Recently, my husband wanted to make waffle at home for breakfast so I went online to look for a good one to buy. I read many reviews and decided to go with this one because it had many positive ratings. All the reviews were very accurate - this waffle maker makes perfect waffle everytime and it has a bell to let you know when it's done. I love it. I has been making waffle almost every weekend ever since I bought this machine. After hemming and hawing over which waffle maker to purchase, I finally decided on this one and, oh boy, I am stoked! This is THE best waffle maker out there, period. I like crunchier waffles, my husband likes them toasted on the outside but moist inside. This baby delivers every time to perfection! There are no cons. If you want a waffle maker get this one. This one beeps when it's ready so you don't have to watch it like other ones. You will want to eat 24-7 with this one! Oh! Clean up is a cinch. This waffle iron has seen a serious workout since Christmas morning. I purchased this for my daughter-in-law and the grandkids. It hasn't seen the inside of a cupboard yet! The waffle iron is really fast, easy to clean and doesn't take up much counter space. I read all of the reviews and decided this was the best for my money. So far, perfect!
June 04, 2008: I just checked with my daughter-in-law, it's still going strong! It may not get used daily, but it does get used weekly. She says it's easy to adjust and still quick.

After spending hours reading the reviews of this waffle maker and all the others listed on Amazon, we decided this might be the one for us. GREAT DECISION! It makes the best waffles so quickly! Everything you read is correct. You only need to treat it the first time with cooking spray or oil and then NEVER again! Clean-up is quick and easy! It makes delicious, crispy Belgian waffles in a flash! I am so glad this Chef's Choice waffle iron was our choice!
