Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Chef's Choice 830B WafflePro Classic Belgian Waffle MakerCustomer Review: Chef's Choice 830B WafflePro Classic Summary: 5 Stars
This product delivers what it promises. My family likes the Belgium waffles (softer on the inside), and the "Crisp Exterior Moist Interior" setting does the job. I like them crunchy all the way through and use the "Uniform Texture" setting. Pour in 1/2 of mix and the red baking light goes on. When it's done, the red light shuts off and the green light goes on AND the unit beeps! It's perfect! No more burned waffles if your distracted for a moment. That's not all...there's a color control setting to make your waffles as light or dark as you like. Just spray with oil the 1st time you use and you never need to again. They don't stick! I leave batter in the frig overnight and the kids make quick waffles in the morning. You'll be happy with this unit.
Customer Review: Chef's Choice is the perfect choice! Summary: 5 Stars
I had never owned a waffle maker before and purchased this Chef's Choice model based on positive reviews. I was not disappointed in my choice. This is a great little kitchen appliance! The perfect Belgian Waffle Maker! I used the recipe for Basic Waffles in the instruction manual, and my whole family loved them. Best of all, they were easy to make and clean-up was a breeze. It takes a mere minute and a half to cook one scrumptious waffle so it didn't take a lot of time to cook a batch for the whole family. Look no further if you need a waffle maker. The price is great also and the waffle iron has really nice features--including a buzzer to tell you when your waffle is ready! Perfect every time.
Customer Review: Great Waffles...Great Price Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned this waffle maker for over a year now and have given it as a gift. It heats up fast and provides a lot of flexibility in doneness. Easy to clean its non-stick surface. Like all similar machines, don't overfill with batter and the clean-up is minimal. It also stores well in a small space. I see that the newer model has a locking mechanism for storage. Nice, but not needed.
I use Carbon's malted waffle mix. I've never seen it in the stores, but you can order it from their website. It's the same mix used by Marriott's Residence Inn chain and comes in several flavors. Blueberry and Pumpkin are our favs, and the plain can be used as a base for your own creativity.
Customer Review: Best Made Waffle Maker Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried many waffle makers but this one tops them all.
Just made the best waffles ever this morning with this machine.
The settings are excelent and usefull for making waffles come out just the way you want them to be by that I mean cooked perfect every time.
The non stick surface does well also. Other machine required us to pik apart the waffle in order to get it out of the machine. Clean up was very efficient also no work just wipe away excess and dry and put it back on the shelf until next time. Highly recommend this machine if you want to start the day with a good waffle breakfast and no hassel clean up as well.
Customer Review: Great Waffle Maker Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased this waffle maker after our 30 year plus waffel maker began to show it's wear. So far we are very happy with the unit. It makes great waffles, even with different recipes. There was no sticking - just followed the directions of using a spray for the first usage. We really like the alarm rather than having to watch continuously for a light. Also, the variable settings are useful - we like setting three for light, and tasty waffles. The waffles are evenly cooked on both sides. The storage in a vertical position helps with shelf space. We hope it will last as long as our old waffle maker.
