After reading many reviews on 4 brands of egg cookers, I chose this one. Though, some of the reviews on this product had me sceptical of purchasing it. Such as people saying this cooker leaked water on their counter, another complaining about being struck by the steam upon lifting the lid, ect...
When I recieved the egg cooker, after opening the box, before I even unpacked the cooker, I picked up the paperwork enclosed and sat down and read the directions. I washed up the cooker and proceeded to make 7 hard boiled eggs. No water ran on my counter, No steam struck me when I removed the lid. So, I disregard the negative comments made about this egg cooker and give it 5 stars. As we learned in elementary school, Always Read The Directions!!!!!

I don't normally do product testimonials, but I couldn't let this one go!
This is an amazing little appliance!!!! It took just minutes to figure out how to operate it. There is basically NO CLEAN UP. Doesn't take up much space on your counter top. Cooks eggs PERFECTLY. Peeling is no more a chore & aggravation when they don't peel easily-egg shells come right off- perfectly, every single time. Worry free cooking so that you can focus your attention on preparing the rest of your meal. Once you've had a steamed egg, you won't go back to the traditional method of boiling. I will be buying this as a gift in the future.

I love soft boiled eggs but could never get them perfect. After reading the reviews for this egg cooker I did not have great expectations. I got this cooker and have been using it every day. Good for 1 egg or 7, it makes the perfect soft boiled eggs. Never had any problems from the first egg I cooked. One time I even forgot to add water, the alarm sounded, but luckily I just added water with the same eggs and they were perfect. Of course you have to be there to take the eggs out when the alarm goes off, just like any other steamer.
I definitely would buy this for a gift and hope that mine last a long time.

This device makes it terrifically easy to cook eggs. Forget the boiling water, hot pot, and careful timings. Simply add water, eggs, set the timer, and you're good to go. I've used this device with great success since receiving it. We primarily like hard boiled eggs, and the eggs we have done have come out perfectly to our taste.
Two minor quibbles - I dislike removing the cover. It's difficult to remove as the steam rushes to escape. I haven't figure out how to do that comfortably. Also, the fill line could be a bit darker for the water.

We are thoroughly enjoying this egg cooker. We are a big fan of boiled and poached eggs but I tended to cook boiled eggs too long and I didn't like cleaning up the nonstick holders for my egg poacher. With this you can time the eggs perfectly. I did burn myself once dumping the water so I would suggest waiting until it cools if possible but overall, it has been a great purchase.. and it doesn't tale up much space at all if you are worried about yet ANOTHER appliance like I as!
