I have spent much time in Europe and latin America and have grown accustomed to using the electric teapots. This one is a keeper.
I have it in my office now for tea whenever I wish. We have an Irish Speaking Club that meets in the office so now we're in Texas
but enjoying tea as though we're in Ireland. Is maith sin! (that's great!) I'm so grateful for this little gem and for the ease of shopping
on Amazon.Com.

Ever since staying in European hotels where electric teakettles are often an amenity in the room, I have enjoyed the convenience of an electric kettle. I only use it for the occasional afternoon cup of coffee, but it is nice to not accidentally boil a pan dry on the cooktop as I have done many times in the past. This particular teakettle has all the convenience features you could want; holds a lot of water, click-on setting, auto-off, separate base and very fast heating.Customer Review: Great electric teakettle !!!

I bought this electric teapot to take on vacation with me to a bed & breakfast. I have used it exclusively ever since. I love it. It boils the water soo fast, it's amazing. I even use it to boil water for pasta etc. If it breaks I am definitely buying another. I love that it comes off the base for safer cleaning. Will only boil water though so don't put anything else in it (acording to instructions). A must have for my kitchen. Review: Cordless electric kettleSummary: 5 Stars Extremely pleased with this purchase. It is used several times daily and I don't know how we got along without it! Coffee for me and tea for hubby every morning and soup or tea for lunch. We do use reverse osmosis water but the stainless does not show any signs of mineral buildup and the plastic lid does not emit any odor to either the air or water. It heats very quickly even when full; much better and faster than the microwave, and very portable.

I love its sterling steel body, definitely better than other plastic stuff. It heats water very quickly and shuts off automatically.
One thing I want to mention is that you need to press that button on handle to open the top lid, however it won't open very wide. This makes pouring cold water into the kettle not as easy as desired.
yet for its overall performance so far and its reasonable price, I still give it a 5 star.
