I did a good deal of research prior to my purchase of the Chef's Choice 632 and indeed I got the right product. It's a great slicer, well made, clean's up easily and performs as advertised. I've done everything from Hams and Cheese, even bread, thick or thin it does a great job. excellent slicer. works well for slicing meats thin if you like. The food tastes wonderful thin and win! The only thing that is a slight problem for me is when i take the base off where you lay the meat on I always have a problem getting the slide thing back on. The size and weight of this slicer make it easy to move from it's storage in the pantry to the counter area for use. It is up to the task for us when slicing cooked meats for sandwiches and leftovers. It is easy to use and adjust. The movement of the slide arm is very easy. I've used some other slicers that were okay. This thing is great. I make beef jerky all the time and this is so easy to use that I don't even think about it. Just put the slab of meat in the freezer for a few hours and slice away. Thin, thick medium; it doesn't matter. I received my Chef's Choice 632 for Christmas. I chose it because of the reviews that I saw. I was pleasently supprised that is was as good or better than what I read. I use it all the time and is works wonderful.
