For years I have been sharpening the knives in our household. I have used wet stones, diamond sticks, ceramic sticks and many other methods in fact I have a draw full of different sharpening devices. But nothing has put an edge on knives like the Chef's Choice M130 Professional Knife-Sharpening Station. You must read the directions before you start to us the M130 or you can ruin your knives.Customer Review: Great sharpener

I bought the sharpening station because it was highly rated by cooks illustrated. It is a great piece of equipment, I have expensive knives and want to keep them sharp without damaging the blades, this did the job. My husband noticed immediately how sharp the knives were. I highly recommend it, I just read the instructions first and practiced using a cheap knife and the results were amazing.Customer Review: Worth the money!

I risked buying 2 of the knife sharpeners without trying one, they came fast and one was for my son's birthday. I sharpened all my knives this afternoon and it did a great job and did it fast. My son just called me to let me know he had just gotten a really nice mule deer buck and how much better his hunting knife worked after he sharpened it on his sharpener.Customer Review: knife sharpener

Excellent product, I have had several knives, in the past, with my old sharpener that I just could not get an edge that I liked. This sharpener did it. The condition of the knife determines how many passes it will take to get the edge you want. I had several that only took 5 or 6 passes, others took 15-20. Very happy with this sharpener, I would buy it again!
