Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Chaney Instrument 13131 Atomix Dartmouth Desktop Alarm ClockCustomer Review: Eats batteries in days Summary: 1 Stars
I bought one of these last year and I have been unable to keep it running for more than a month at a time. Battery life can be measured in days. It is probably just my clock that has excessive current consumption (I have more than twenty years experience repairing electronic timepieces and this is either a quality control problem or bad circuit design). I have tried all manner of AA batteries - alkaline, rechargeable, and lithium - none lasted more than a month (and the backlight was never used). To date I have spent more on batteries than I did on the clock. The clock functioned properly in all other respects, however it is pointless to spend any more money feeding it batteries. I am looking for something to replace it.
Customer Review: Wrong time, right time zone Summary: 1 Stars
My clock is set to the CORRECT time zone (unless the "E" means something besides "Eastern") and the time continually reverts to one hour early anyway. I think the previous person's negative review of this product was due not to user error but to poor product quality.
Customer Review: Automatic update doesn't work Summary: 1 Stars
Like another reviewer, I have found that not only does my clock not automatically update, but also if I manually fix the time, it will change back to the wrong time!!
A waste of money. BEWARE.
