I just adopted a dog and even though she loves cats, the cats have never seen a dog. So for now I need to separate them. This gate is perfect. I have it up across the bedroom door. The smaller door is a little large and the dog could squeeze through so I just tied a shoestring across to make it a little smaller. Works like a charm. The cats can take their time getting to know the dog because they can run back to their safe room if they feel threatened. The dog doesn't even try to jump the gate because it is so tall. I am a large person but can fit through the door fine. I have to turn a little sideways but who cares. The handle is easy to operate with one hand(I don't use the lock). I did not install the caps and even though I did knock it out of the doorway one time by bumping it very hard, it went back in easily and I haven't done it since. These are gates great. I have 4 of them, along with 2 dogs 2 cats and a new born. 1 blocking off my hallway from the dogs. One smaller one blocking off my work out room where the cat food is. One blocking off the babies room from all animals. And one blocking off my bedroom from all animals at night only. Never have to worry about the dogs knocking the gate over (and there big) because of the in place stoppers. The screws that come with them are kind of short. So i just used some longer ones. They also come with one extension bar for wider areas. There is only one downfall i must point out. My one cat is very tiny, only about 5-6 lbs. She can fit right through the openings in certain parts of the gate. So i had to fix that by putting small barriers where she was getting through. I just used zip ties to attach them to the gate.Customer Review: EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

I was inspired to purchase this item because in extreme weather conditions, I do not want to keep my Boxer outside for 10 hours away while I'm away at work. Some days I would come home to a disaster zone in my kitchen, so I put this gate at the entrance to my kitchen so she cannot access it. This gate works like a charm! It's very high so she cannot jump over it and she also hasnt figured out how to open the walk-thru door on the gate (well not yet, at least). It's a very sturdy product and I'm sure it will last for quite a while. The small pet door is a life saver for my cat who can come and go as she pleases. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT if you have a large breed dog who needs to have restricted access to rooms. I was also able to assemble it in 3 minutes without having to read the directions.Customer Review: Awesome

This was the third gate/fencing I had purchased to try to keep my morkie in one section of the house. He is only 5lbs and tiny but managed to jump over the 24" and 32" fencing I had purchased. He doesn't even try this one!! The gate is easy to set up and more portable than I would have thought, this can go with him to the doggy sitter :)I was afraid he would be able to get through the spaces between the bars because he is so tiny, but he either can't or isn't interested, either way I am one happy camper! Now he has room to run and I don't have to worry about him if I am running late and there is an accident! I was looking for a cat gate forever so I can sleep through the night without getting awaken by my cat running and knocking over stuff ALL night long. My cat is naughty one and jumps on/over anywhere she sees. But this one, she hasn't jumped over this or touched it for a half year! This is absolutely good one for anybody who needs to keep your cat away from babies etc. It is very steady and opens/clothes very easily for humans. You don't need to screw into the wall either, so you don't need to make holes into your apartment's wall. I don't use that little kitty cat gate so I am not sure about that.
