Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of ZipIt Opener - Electric Blister Pack & Clam Shell Package OpenerCustomer Review: works great Summary: 5 Stars
For the first time I can open things without tugging and tearing up my hands. Better then pen knives or anything else I have tried. Not sure if it will work on the few pkgs that do not have even seems on the sides, but most of the pkgs i need to open do have the kind of sides this will open. It was NO problem and was fast and easy.
Customer Review: Best new gadget: got-a-have category! Summary: 5 Stars
This little gadget really works!
Mostly just plastic, but if you have ever been frustrated wrestling with those nasty blister packs (who hasn't?) then you'll enjoy this.
Used it at Christmas several times. :) All who saw it wanted one.
Cuts right around the edges of the clamshell with no effort.
Customer Review: it's the best Summary: 5 Stars
i have tried a lot of different tools to open clamshell packaging. i have severe arthritis in both my hands and my fingers are badly deformed. well, guess what??? this zip it really does the job. it also saves my hands from hurting so badly. buy it--i am buying several for holiday presents.
Customer Review: Great gadget! Summary: 5 Stars
Tired of fighting to open those blister packs? This item works great! An item to have, especially around Christmas with those toys to open AND battery packages!
Customer Review: Great replacement for a pocket knife. Summary: 4 Stars
The Zipit opener pretty much works as advertised. It takes 2 AA batteries to operate. I wish it took 4, because I believe it would be a little more powerful if it did. It gets the job done now, but when crosscutting a seam at the end of the side of a package, it slows down while it cuts through it.
The package you are opening doesn't quite feed itself through the cutter, like a powered letter opener pulls a letter through it. But, with a little guidance and nudging it gets the job done well.
If the seam around a package is too thick to get it all cut off on the first pass, usually one more is all it takes to get the package open. A very handy device.
