This set is wonderful. This has been a great conversation piece at our home. The knives are the best we have ever had. The knives are one piece. No plastic or wood handles with a blade. These are all steel handles with a blade, and they are sharp. Using the boning knife was a piece a cake deboning a 12 pound turkey, took less than 10 minutes. We actually put away our other knives and this set is our main one for the home. The knife storage is hard plastic, but there are magnets inside each knife storage area that hold the blades and there are blade guards on the backside of the knive storage slots. These are on sale at my local store for $160.00. The price offered here is fantastic. They come in several colors, the chrome being a bit more expensive because it looks finer than the plastic. Red, black, white, and even apple green. All but the chrome look are very plastic and look plastic up close, but dont be disappointed with that, because they still look awesome. The red has the advantage of being blood colored. I recommend these (Im a picky buyer too). GREAT gift. I'm glad I didnt buy a set at my local store!Customer Review: A Different Knife Holder :-) :-)

We were on a short vacation to Rome this spring and my wife saw this in one of here favorite stores there. I forgot to get it for her before we left. Luckily I saw it here in time for her birthday and as able to pick it up at a great price. OK, the knives are not the best but they have a decent edge and ok feel in the hand. But we already have a set of top notch German knives.
Well packed and fast shipping so if you want something different on your counter top this might just be the ticket.

I saw Voodoo knife holder (April 2008), in a store in Italy and being a chef, I had to have it (store was closed at the time)....Great looking knife holder... More of a conversation piece than a practical knife holder..... Too soon to tell how long it would take everyday use. Knives are OK, not chef quality but for an item under $100 I think it worth the money. BTW. In Italy, they were asking 99 Euros for it ($165 at the time). I'm happy with purchase. Anyone who likes to cook and has been through a bad relationship will love this knife set! The knives are great and putting them back is very therapudic. Ha ha ha
There's a magnetic strip on the inside of each sheath, on the top, so the knives don't rest on their blades, keeping them nice and sharp. This item is a bit big, but the fun factor is even bigger! The surprise element when people see it in your kitchen is awesome!
It's safe, sweet revenge!
