Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event ProgrammableCustomer Review: A very useful tool Summary: 5 Stars
This timer provides a way to time as many as four events at once. It is easy to use and the display is large enough to read easily. It has a couple of features I most likely will not often use, if ever, but it most certainly fulfills the purpose for which it was purchased, which was to help me keep up with multiple cook times. Furthermore, it can stand on a counter, its magnet allows you to stick it onto a metal surface, or you can use the clip on the back to attach it, say, to your shirt pocket for portability. I'm pleased with my purchase, and I consider it worth what I paid for it, so I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Excellent for multi-tasking Summary: 5 Stars
This digital timer is an excellent tool for busy multi-taskers. You can have up to 4 different alarms going at once. I've used it in the kitchen, setting different timers for different dishes. (Now I no longer burn my food while watching TV or reading a book!) I've used it at my desk, tracking how long it takes me to do something (the "count up" feature), or giving myself a "time to stop" reminder (the "count down" feature). And I've used it at writer critique meetings to time each person's share of brainstorming time.
An excellent tool with many uses!

CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable
I will be honest, I looked locally at all the kitchen supply stores for this product, but I had to go to Amazon before I found it. I have actually worn out two of these models because I use them so much. Most timers can be set for one event. In my life, that wouldn't cut it; I'd need several timers. With this one, I can set multiple alarms for multiple events and still keep on going.
Customer Review: Best of the lot Summary: 5 Stars
I am now on my second CDN timer - I use it to time whatever is cooking on each of the 4 burners on my range.
I have to baby the timer though - the previous one fell onto the floor, the battery compartment door broke and it was a pain to use it thereafter.
Also, it is probably a good idea to set it on a steady horizontal surface and not use the magnet.
The current timer is almost 2 years old and on it's second battery - so far, so good.
Overall, it is the best multi event timer out there.
Customer Review: A great little timer Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable as a replacement for a virtually identical Pyrex 4 event timer now discountinued. I also own two triple event timers from other manufacturers; this one is easier to use an more reliable. I am a personal chef so I have a CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable in my kitchen at home and one in my cook day kit for use in my clients' homes. What a handy little timer. You won't regret your purchase.
