This is the ONLY way to store your discs! I worked in a library, where we circulated 500-600 DVDS each day. The biggest cause of damage to a disc, is the hard shell original case. Every time you take a disc out of the case ,you have to flex it slightly to pop it off the center spindle. This causes tiny cracks around the inside of the center hole. When it reaches the point there are too many or too large of cracks,the disc won't play. There is no way to repair this, the disc is ruined. By using the Discgear, you can store your discs safely and compactly! I am in the process of transferring all my discs, including CD'S and WII games to Discgear. I keep a smaller unit on the TV stand, for WII games only. This is PERFECT!!!
