I really resented having to pay shipping on this because Amazon didn't carry it and I had to buy it from a third party but having a large number of small dogs in the house, I needed gates to control their access and so I bought it in spite of the shipping cost. I am happy to report that I love it. It is sturdy, well pretty sturdy, the extension is so long it is a tiny bit wobbly but I do think that is because the length of the gate is over 60 inches. It is attractive and has served it's purpose well. I own two of these gates. The only tiny thing that I don't like is that the gate only swings open in one direction. I really wish it would go both ways. But other than that, I love it.
