Invented by Swedish designer Louise Delbor, this whisk offers a new, flexible way of cooking. The pliable construction follows the contours of the bowl or pot, answering quickly to the movements of the hand. It is flat and easy to store too.The business end of this whisk is a wonder of design. The coiled wires of the whisk wrap around a hinged framework that allows you to set the specific angle according to the shape of the bowl or pan you're whisking in. It's equally great for dipping deep into corners of straight-edged sauté pans or making smooth work in slope-sided bowls. Because it's a flat whisk, use it for blending sauces and custards--this is where it truly excels. The handle may be a bit awkward for some--its thin wires are versatile, but not especially comfortable for those with hand or finger problems. --Jill Lightner
