I wanted to re do my review, I contacted Brother via e-mail and they responded within 2 days. They offered some suggestions as to why I got the message "this card can not be used in this machine". I missed the obvious "hoop size"! I had wrong hoop size and that was my whole problem! Now it works beautifully again! "My Bad!!" Sometimes when we get frustrated, we miss something so obvious!! The ped-basic is a great product and I look forward to doing many more t-shirts!!Customer Review: LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I have been able to download so many free embroidery designs that will work with this program. I have already used several of them, and I have more of them downloaded than I could ever imagine using. It is a great product for the price. The software was easy to install, and the images are easy to install onto the card. Just make sure you are choosing the right hoop size.Customer Review: Brother PED-Basic Software read/writer

Excellent. Worked great the first time. I downloaded free embroidery designs from various websites and wrote it to memory card and plugged card into Brother SE270D sewing machine.
I paid $129.73 for this, now it is even cheaper.
I liked it so much that I purchased another blank read/write card (compatible with Brother SE270D machine) since I purchased so many more embroidery designs.

It is a very basic software - all you can do is to change the size of images from 90% to 120%,preview and download them on your design card.If you have windows 7 do not use the CD software that comes with it. It's too primitive for it. [...]
The software works great and is simple and basic. You'll be very happy with it unless your expectations exceed the software's capabilities.

If you have windows Vista, make sure you download the software directly from the Brother's Website. It only takes a couple of minutes to download the software. The program is easy to use and I was able to find a lot of free embroidery designs to use with my SE350. The software reads PES files. You can google for free pes format embroidery designs and tons of links will pop up.
