I was originally interested in bamboo hooks because they're ecofriendly. Other reviews warned that they might break on me, but after working extensively with the little 3mm hook it's still going strong. A little bendy, but I'd have to work to break it.
Overall I like the feel and I love the range of sizes in this set. A similar metal set would cost 3x as much.
