Customer Review: Great Glass pitchers! Need a white lid!

I really like these glass pitchers, I bought them for myself, because I like to make home made ice tea and thought they would be perfect for that. I've already used it to keep milk fresher longer, I find the lids are quite snug. Perhaps some of the other reviewers received a bad egg? Not sure. Could be the quality is not consistent, however the pair I received are wonderful and seem to be great quality.
My only reason for a 4 start review is that, I wish the pair came in a larger size (in a pair, not alone) And I wish the lids were a plain and simple white or better a clear lid. the colors on these lids make them look silly.
The pitcher it self has a very nice pattern as another reviewer stated, you can look closely at the pictures. I didn't and was pleasantly surprised.
I would certainly recommend them and would happily purchase them again!

I bought these twin pitchers a few days ago, and I love them! If you don't place your hand over the lid while you pour, you risk having the lid either come off or having liquid spill out. But isn't it a little silly to not cover the lid just in case in the first place? Come on people, surely your mothers taught you to hold a removable lid down when pouring!
The glass is nice and thick, high quality, and the pitchers look attractive in the fridge or on the table. I am very pleased with my purchase, and if you are a down-to-earth person who doesn't mind holding the lid on top down in exchange for a lovely glass pitcher, then these are for you. Great for Iced Tea, Juice, etc. but wouldn't recommend for milk as they do not screw shut.

I purchased this set at a clearance store for only $7.
Each jug holds 3-5 individual beverage servings, depending on the size cup you are using.
The lids do not seal, but I was simply looking for a covered jug so that debris or whatever would not fall in it.
The lids make quite a mess if you pour with one on, so I take the lid off when I pour something and I have had absolutely no problem with this. Other reviews complain about dribbling, etc. with or without the lid on, so I don't know how their pouring technique is different from mine!
Four stars for balancing the price and the quality of the item. It would receive 5 stars if I could pour with the lid on and if it made a tight seal.

I have purchased 6 of these over the years and always used and enjoyed them. Not 1 has ever broken. I did not need tight sealing lids because the variety of liquids I kept in the refrigerator disappeared quickly.
Now I am giving mine away--tendontis in my dominant hand and general muscle depletion have made them much too heavy for me any more.
I have found the same item but in the pint size (already have one) and have ordered 4. So, you can see I like these and was surprised by the low rating and varied criticism--except about the weight, especially when full. However the weight only bothered me recently.

I bought these after graduating high school. I use them in my apartment. They are very handy and attractive. They are really easy to take care of and they hold up. They are breakable though so you have to be really careful. They also leak if you don't close the lid properly. Other than that they are great for holding liquids (tea, soda, etc.) They don't hold that much liquid in them so it's not good for a large family. I am single so they're perfect for me. They are very stylish and I'd recommend them to anyone!
