Customer Review: Exquisite Quality, Beautiful Design, Dream French Press!

The moment I noticed the double walled stainless handle was part of the double walled stainless body, I thought "How did they do that?" I've never seen one solid part; normally they attach the handle because it's too costly to use a solid steel mold in the manufacturing process. The handle remains cool to the touch, even though the handle is part of the body, and the body is scalding hot after pouring boiling water.
I get two large 16 oz. mugs of coffee from this French Press. The filter is solid stainless, with a brilliant design that allows you to twist the handle clockwise in order to separate the coffee grounds from the brew! Otherwise, the coffee would get progressively stronger. I use an egg timer set to 6 minutes (for Peet's Coffee strength brew). When the timer goes off, I twist the handle clockwise, which prevents further "steeping" of the grounds which are now separated from the water. Genius patented invention!
The stainless filter is top quality and should last forever (I've had it for several months without problems). Using standard methods for making coffee with a French Press (found on the web), and proper grinding (no more than 11 seconds grinding a generous amount of beans) and closing the valve (after 3-6 minutes usually, although today I left it steeping with filter in the open position for over 10 minutes and it was not too strong), I have enjoyed the most flavorful coffee in my 30 years of coffee drinking!
Hint: after adding coffee grounds, put the OPEN filter in a few inches, lift the lid, and pour boiling water through the filter into the steel body (until the water is level with the pour spout). Wait a few seconds for the water level to go down, pour again, repeat until water level stops falling (after water soaks into grounds). Shut the lid, and twist it (without twisting the handle) until the arrow on the lid points to the handle. This closes the spout so the steam will not escape. Set egg timer to 3-6 minutes; then twist handle (not lid) to close the filter.
When ready to pour, twist the lid so the arrow points at the spout, meaning the filter in the lid is aimed at the spout. After you repeat the use of this French Press a few times, all the steps of using it will become second nature, where at first it may seem complex. It's worth the trouble at first!
In summary, there is nothing about this product that I have found negative. I'm tempted to buy another because I'm afraid this is one of the few exceptions to otherwise cheaply manufactured products that will disappear when the first wave of inflation hits. An extra one might be nice when entertaining guests. If I could ever love a product, this is the one (of course, because I love a good cup of coffee).
