Customer Review: Shake it like a tapster

This blender bottle works very well, thanks solely to the spherical whisk. As all whisk goes, the blender ball is not a static sphere, it's a spherical spring. The essence of the product is the blender ball, if you transferred the ball to a similar bottle, it may still work as intended. I believe Sundesa is the only manufacturer of the blender bottle. The bottles are rebranded for other companies, like GNC, under their private label program. Don't get confused with which brand is best, they're all the same.
You can use this to mix any cold or room temperature liquid and powder. Do not use hot liquids in this container. You can even use the shaker as a bottle and not shake anything in it, like I don't know... as a container for your orange juice while you drive to work. I've only used this for protein shakes.
When mixing one needs to take into consideration the solubility of the solid, some powders mix better than others, even products of the same brand. Not everything mixed in this bottle will have 100% solubility. I use this to mix my ON 100% Gold Standard Whey protein which does not mix as well as ON's casein powder. It's not technique or proportion as I use the same for both powders. As long as over 90% of it is mixed I will be happy.
Washing is also determined by the solid. It's more easy to wash the bottle after using the whey protein, than the casein, as the casein is more viscous and leaves a harden residue on the walls on the bottle if you let it sit for more than thirty minutes. To clean it I pour water into the bottle and a little bit of soap, close the lid, and shake it up. Then unscrew the lid and pour the soap bubbles on the lid and wash that under the faucet. AFter that I fill it with water again, and shake it once more to get rid of any remaining soap. For viscous liquids, I do the same as above, but I reach into the bottle and grab the spherical whisk to clean the walls to get some of the harden spots that the agitation missed.
I have not had a problem with leaks during mixing, but I have had the misfortunate of not securely closing the pour spout before shaking. This of course occurred when I was sitting in front of my iMac... Luckily, no liquid damage to my computer or peripherals. If you don't intend to drink from the pour spout, there is no reason to open it when you clean the lid. The white cap is very tight, so the liquid should not find its way into the lip of the pour spout.
Its max fill line is 20 ounces or 600 mLs. Some reviewers have said that the 28 oz size is misleading, but it clearly states in the description that it works best and is meant for 8-20 ounces. Twenty-eight ounces fills the entire bottle. However, it will not mix/work adequately if you fill it to the brim, or should I say, it will require more work to mix it properly.
The construction of the bottle is good, its not made from the harder, thinner, clear plastic like those water containers people use for hiking or whatever. (I would not recommend using those bottles, use stainless steel water bottles like Klean Kanteen; actually I only recommend Klean Kanteen). The bottle is frosted, with two clean stripes on either side where the measurements are located. I think the frosting serves well to increase the friction so it does not fly out of your hand(s) when you shake it.
It works 100% better than those bottles you sometimes get for free when you buy powder protein online. Not many free things in life are good, not even air. I think the price is fair, it cost less than two drinks from Starbucks or Jamba Juice (neither of which I drink). But if you don't like the price and do buy drinks from these vendors, then forego two trips to the sugar store so you can purchase this bottle. It works as intended, five stars.
