I really wanted to get away from the plastic drip coffee makers. After reading the reviews here, I settled on this model. For the discounted price and free shipping, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was made. Solid construction and all parts are heavy duty. I soak my basket and spreader before adding coffee(absolutely no grounds in coffee!) and in minutes I was drinking the best cup of coffee I've had in years!
After continued use I found it best to carefully remove the basket and stem when percolation is finished.

My sister and brother-in-law purchased this item before I did. Their strong recommendation ( and a really good cup of coffee from their pot), convinced me that it was a perfect gift for my father. He loved it and used it daily. Now, guests use it and we always end up giving them the information about where we purchased ours because they want one too. It is unbelievably fast and serves coffee that is really hot. Farberware has a great reputation in this household. I purchased this percolator for my mother for Mother's Day. She LOVES it! Only she and my Dad use it, so they wanted a small percolator which was very difficult to find. She disliked her drip coffee maker because the coffee was not hot enough and the flavor was not as rich as with a percolator. The only downside is that a filter is needed because the coffee in the bottom becomes "thick". Melitta filters that fit are available to order with the percolator. My parents now savor every drop of their morning coffee!!!Customer Review: Best little coffee pot in Texas

I bought the smallest size, it will brew 2-4 cups. I had a larger one, just like this one, for 30+ years and it lasted till recently when a friend turned it on without water and burned up the water heater.
I was so happy to find this one on Amazon, and my friend is forbidden to use the new pot to make coffee. He replaced the old one with a plastic coffeemaker from Target and it is terrible. He will need to order another Farberware from Amazon if he wants a good pot. A good pot is important.

I love my percolator. I think the coffee tastes so much better in a 4 cup percolator versus a drip coffeemaker, or even a larger percolator. I was so happy to find it online as I had tried locally in so many stores and hardly any percolators were sold and absolutely no 4 cup percolators. My old one had broken and I had to purchase a drip type coffeemaker locally so I would have a pot until this one arrived. It did not take long to get to me. Thank you for carrying this item and for the good quick service.
