I have had this can opener for 2 years and my husband and I agree that it is excellent! We have never had a single problem with it in the whole two years of heavy use. It opens all can sizes and shapes (even dents!). It is comfortable to hold and use. Even my young children can use it. I've never had the problems described by others and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for an easy to hold and easy to use can opener.Customer Review: Great item and great price

We love this can opener. It's cordless, you can take it to any work surface you're using. We live in a rural area with power outages, but when the power goes out the device is still usable, it's charged and ready in its cradle. We had one of these years ago and the battery eventually wore out. I was thrilled to find it here. Buying a new one was cheaper than replacing the battery on our old one. I had bought one for myself a few years back and have loved it and still do. My mother was having a hard time using can openers so i figured i would buy her one for her birthday. Well I think everyone else was buying them at the same time, it took me three months for me to find one. The can opener is as many say it is; great! Right handed easy use and good for people who have arthritic hands. I only have one question...Automatic shut off? Since the opener is thumb operated could it be that your thumb is the automatic shut off.
Comes with a base charging unit...be careful to re-insert back into the charger or notice that your can opener is running very slow.
Yes it is worth while!

I used my moms, and I was sold....so I purchased mine. I then loved it so much more, I came back and purchased 3 more for gifts. Its a great idea and very handy. I have to admit, I am one of those that used a stationary until the blade got nasty (you can only keep it clean so long) then I would throw it away and buy another $10 one....not a problem any longer with this...the blade comes right off...not worries.
