Customer Review: Turns a Boring Task into Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

I would have never imagined opening cans would be a task someone would actually want to do. But my kids now fight over whose turn it is to open the cans! The hands free operation of the can opener is easy to start and fun to watch, as the opener works its way around the can. The handle is easy to set in place, release it, and the opener starts up with its race around the can, on its own, then shuts down when the job is complete.

The recharge unit, almost small in nature, can sit on the back of the counter, and the unit sits in the cradle. The unit seems to hold its charge without a problem, easily handles 5 cans at a time, the most we have ever needed at once, although my youngest would do the whole cupboard if I let him.

This system allows something that I have NEVER been able to do before, actually wash the cutting blade! The removable blade is dishwasher safe for easy and effective cleaning. The other can openers I've owned, which were full units and could not be submerged, could only be cleaned by wiping with a damp clothe. This is MUCH more sanitary.

A great system, and it makes meal prep time, fun time.

Customer Review: The Best Can Opener I Ever Had
Summary: 5 Stars

After reading all of the negative reviews on this can opener, I had to write a review of my own. I bought this can opener in November, 2002, and I have had none of the problems mentioned by some of the other reviewers. I use it at least every other day, if not every day. The can opener may be a little tricky to attach to the can the first time or two you use it, but it is easy once you get the hang of it. The head is removable for easy cleaning, but it doesn't just fall off. You have to lift it all the way up and slide it out to remove it. It's easy to line up the opener in the charging base (there's only one way to put it). As far as making cans top-heavy, with small cans (up to condensed soup size or a little larger), I just hold the opener and let the can turn. I keep my opener on the charging base, so I haven't had any trouble with it holding a charge. It has plenty of power and has opened every can I've ever tried it on. I'll definitely buy another one if they're still available when mine wears out.

Customer Review: I love this thing!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I received this can opener from my best friend as a wedding gift over two years ago and I will never use any other type of can opener. I like the trendy design and the use of a charger instead of a bulky one piece can-opener. It's convenient because it's portable and you can carry it around the kichen with you while you cook. I love that it works so well that you don't even have to hold on to it while it's operating. It hasn't let me down yet and I've already put more than normal wear and tear on it. Another unique feature is that the lever comes off so that it can be cleaned, so it won't be forever stained by tomato sauce. The only thing that is a little tricky is positioning it on the can correctly, but anybody with half a brain can figure that out. It's never frustrated me. I have amazed guests with my amazing can-opener and now they all want one.

Customer Review: Cool gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I am in heaven! We have a dog that eats part canned food, love Italian food which means opening lots of canned tomatoes, and I bought a manual can opener about every 2 months since all of them stopped cutting after a short time. This opener is not only cordless (big plus, you can use it anywhere without dragging a cord through the kitchen), fast, quiet, and cuts right through the metal like butter. I also like that the attached magnet holds the lid after it is detached from the can. No more cuts on my fingers. Another plus is that you can actually clean the blade and wheel, no nasty food leftovers anymore.

Considering what a good, manual can opener costs, this is a bargain, even if the battery won't last forever as some reviewers mentioned. I will just buy a new one.

Customer Review: Cordless Can Opener for People w/Arthritis
Summary: 5 Stars

My Mom has problems w/arthritis in her hands. She loves to cook, and is often in need of opening a can. Manual can openers are too bulky for her and hurt her to use due to the strength and pressure necessary, etc. Most large electric can openers are too clunky and often require one to hold the can for some time while they work so that the machine doesn't tip over. Under the shelf openers have their own challenges, but with this opener, she simply makes sure it's charged, sets it on top of the can, puts pressure on the arm at the top to make it lock, and then it "walks" around the can. It stops automatically when the job's done. The arm is wide, so it's easy for her to pop it off, too! Works like a dream and a real welcomed appliance for my aged Mom's kitchen!
