My hands either couldn't grip or hold some jars & then if I could get a good hold, I didn't have the strength to open. Bottles are few, but when you need one opened, one appliance does the job! Since I have athritis in my hands, I have found it difficult to open jars and cans, but there is really no effort or pain involved when I need to open anything now. It is also an attractive addition to my kitchen.
