It really works. It opens those small plastic juice bottles with the plastic "twist off" caps that are'nt twist off for the weak or arthritic. I've used it for big pasta sauce jars, small jars of mustard, and everything in between. The only drawback is the can opener, which works well, but not for very large cans, such as the "3 pound" coffee can (which actually holds about 2 piunds these days.)Customer Review: Bottle and Lid Opener

This new revised bottle and cap opener has 2 new accessories added to it this year. It's a great product for older family members that don't have the strength any more to open bottle caps or lids. I've even found with some of these plastic cap tops that they are so hard to open that when you do it makes a mess from you squeezing so hard, not with the Black & Decker, it opens them with ease.Customer Review: B&D Lids Off---I took a chance

Bottom line: this product works as advertised! I was hoping it would as my wife has an arthritic wrist making it difficult to open cans and jars. I tried it out on a jelly jar; you know how hard they are to twist off. Popped off like a dream.
If you are in the market, might as well get the item that does it all instead of just opening cans, for example.

I haven't found a jar that this thing won't open; it even handles those vacuum sealed fruit jars like they're nothing.
If I have a complaint, and it's a minor one, you have to be careful with the can opener lever. The lever comes off for cleaning which is nice but it also comes off easily if you have it up. It goes back in easy enough but it's a bit annoying.

I bought this for my Mom, and she loves it. She has had it for almost a year and she uses it just about every day.
She recently called me and wanted to thank me again for buying it for her.
So, if you know of anyone that is having trouble opening jars, please, consider this product.
