This is a great, useful product for a senior citizen or anyone with limited hand/arm strength. My mom would always have a couple of jars lined up for me to open whenever I visited and was somewhat chagrined at having to ask. Unless you commonly buy giant economy sizes, it will probably handle most of the jars in your pantry (it easily accommodated a tall pickle jar and a 32-oz mayonnaise; those were the largest we had on hand).Customer Review: Older? We purchased one for each of our mothers as gifts, and both love it. Each has some difficulty with arthritis in their hands, and this product allows them to open some jars they could not open otherwise (they both live alone). I was a skeptic when I ordered this item last year. My mother has arthritis and cannot open jars anymore - whenever we would visit, she would always have one or two waiting for us to open. The jar opener has proven to be her favorite gadget - it is easy for her to use and so far, has worked as promised. I bought this for my mother who suffers from arthritis and lives alone. She said it works like a charm, and couldn't stop raving about it. I have had Surgery on my right shoulder which has severly limited the strength of that arm. I am 76. I live alone. Without this Jar Opener there are many jars which would cause severe pain to open. Thanks to the JW200 I don't have to avoid some of my favorite foods when grocery shopping.
