Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Black & Decker EK700 9-Inch Electric Carving Knife, WhiteCustomer Review: Best Foam Cutter ever. Summary: 5 Stars
I'm an Audio Engineer. I deal with lots of Anvil style ATA rated flight cases. These cases occasionally come with foam glued inside them. Sometimes that foam doesn't fit what I need to put in the case. Enter "EK700".
This thing cuts foam like a dream. The rounded tip doesn't jab into the wood case, and the knives slice clean. My cuts look like they came right from the factory.
Probably works for food as well, but I give it 5 stars a a foam cutter.
Customer Review: My first electric knife, this one works well Summary: 5 Stars
As a first test of this knife, I made a roast from a tough rump round. The roast was very tough in any thickness over 1/8", so it needed to be sliced thin. But it is tasty. I cut the roast with the electric knife, made nice, even, thin slices. Much less hassle than a circular meat slicer, and it is much easier to clean up afterwards. All in all, a good product and worth the money, if you do this sort of thing.
Customer Review: Picked the right one this time. Summary: 5 Stars
Great product at a resonable price. This knife is comfortable in your hand, (left or right.) It cuts smoothly without applying undue preasure. The offset blade allows cutting through to bottom of bread or meat without racking your knuckles or repositioning your grip. I keep an electric knife plugged in on my counter for all kinds of cutting. If this one ever wears out, I'll be buying another just like it.
Customer Review: Excellent Electric Knife Summary: 5 Stars
My 32 year old GE Electric Knife finally broke. Based on America's Test Kitchen recommendation, and the positive reviews here, I bought the Black & Decker "Slice Right" Electric Knife, Model EK700. I love it. Works just like my old trusty GE Knife, but noticeably quieter. Cuts meats, breads, etc. perfectly. I can make thin or thick cuts with ease. I would buy it again.
Customer Review: Smart Kitchen Purchase Summary: 5 Stars
This knife is awesome and one of the better purchases I made for my kitchen. It's been used to cut homemade bread (stuff that was too dense for a handheld knife!), hams, turkeys, watermelon, squash, etc. It's also been used by my husband to cut foam for his gaming miniatures - and I don't know how he would have cut it without this knife. Definitely a good multi-tasker.
