This knife worked great for us, sliced through the Thanksgiving turkey like butter. My dad, who has carved over 30 Thanksgiving dinners, said he actually liked it better than the GE electric knife he's used all those past years (it died last year). Bought this to replace a Black and Decker electric knife that finally gave out after many years. This one is OK, but a step back from previous model. Worst thing is that the changed the blades, so spare blades won't work in this one. It is also just a bit longer, so it won't fit in a drawer.Customer Review: with a little modification...

This knife came with a child-proofing trigger that was hard to operate by left-handed and right-handed men and women alike. I got needle-nosed pliers and took care of it in about 30 seconds. Wow what a difference. I almost regretted buying this product but I love this knife now.Customer Review: a good electric knife for the money

I am basically happy with this product, the only caveat being that it is fairly difficult to disconnect the blades. They built it with safety in mind and it took a while for us to get the hang of getting the blades out to wash after use. Other than that, it is a great product.Customer Review: Great for some foods!

I usually use professional knives, but decided to try this and I must say it's very efficient for some meats and other firm items. Watch out for shredding of some things, though,like turkey breast. All in all, a cute toy for some foods and not expensive. I hope it stays sharp!!
