This is the second one of these that we have used. The first one we received as a gift about 8 years ago, and when it finally "expired" we were frantic to find another rice cooker. I was so excited when I found this one on Amazon. It was great to be able to get an exact replacement for our previous rice cooker. The rice always turns out great (whether it's wild rice, brown rice, white rice, etc). And the automatic shutoff is a great safety feature.Customer Review: great product

I bought this for my boyfriend who continually wished he had a steamer. Thinking that he would break it within a week, I went for the cheaper one. However, I would have paid so much more. It is perfect for making a little or a lot. It is easy to clean, easy to store and extremely easy to use. We even dropped it on the ground and it still worked perfectly. My mother and I purchased this particular steamer years ago and used it until it finally died. Then we both got new ones, as we cannot live without it. Extremely easy to use it is the only way i have cooked vegetables for years. It's healthy, because it uses steam; little or no vitamins lost by steaming. Cooks rice to perfection. This is a Great little steamer. For $20.00 you can't go wrong!! Flip a couple of hot dogs in it for 14 minutes and then a couple of buns for one minute and BAM you're on your way out the door!! Real good item, I highly recommend it. Not for use with a big family so much, but for the quick, easy & healthy snack, there ya go!! This is the second one of these that I have purchased. It is a product that I use almost daily and like it very much. It does not have a history of longevity, however, and that is what I found with the first one. I was so surprised that it lasted such a short time with the name Black & Decker on it. However, as I said, I use it almost daily.
