Had this for a month now and it is easier to use, and more consistant than the higher cost one it replaced.
Brew time is fairly fast and adding the right amount of water is made easier by the dual water marks on the pot.(One mark tells you how much water to add for the linked amount of brewed coffee.). The warmer keeps it warm but it's noy too hot so as to overcook the potted brew.
The pots no spill feature is a nice touch as is the way the carafe places on the warmer.
Yes it pops a bit when the tank is near empty but, so what. The coffee is what counts.

This coffee maker does what the marketing/promotional claims say it will. Although we've only had it a short time, we're very pleased with it - it's easy to operate, very easy to fill with water and coffee but more importantly the coffee tastes great. We like our coffee strong and flavorful and that's what we can get from this model. When our old coffee maker quit, I tried a Bunn and quickly got rid of that (who likes drinking water rinsed in coffee grounds) and tried another brand which also was returned after 1 pot. If/when this one quits I'll buy the same model - let's hope they continue making it.Customer Review: Excellent Coffeemaker

After years of putting up with poorly-designed, poorly-built coffeemakers, it is a joy to finally own one that is so good. I bought it after seeing the reviews here & at Consumer Reports and noting that the price is about as reasonable as you can get. It makes great coffee. Uses standard filters. Doesn't drip. Brews the coffee quickly. Stays on for 2 hours. Has an easy-to-see clock. The scheduler works as it should. Cleanup is simple. There are few moving/replaceable parts, so the chances of failure are quite low. I am SO happy I found this machine and can highly recommend it.Customer Review: Great coffee maker.

The B&D DCM2500B SmartBrew Coffeemaker makes a great cup of coffee. Clean, crisp and fast. It's easy to load up the ground coffee and water. I really like that it shuts off in 2 hours... Putting the carafe under the drip takes a couple of tries but, once you get used to the tight fit under the basket, it's easy enough to put the carafe back. The only downside is that the access to the basket and water tank is an all-in-one lid... You have to pull it out from under the cabinet to put ground coffee and water in. All in all, a great coffeemaker for the price.Customer Review: Don't hesitate to buy

This is a great little coffeepot. The carafe doesn't drip while you are half-blindly pouring the first cup of coffee in the morning, and it's super easy to set up and use. You do need to think about where you are going to put it on the counter, because to fill it with water requires some counter clearance (there is a nice long power cord though). Easy to clean, easy to operate, makes delicious coffee...about the only way they could improve this design would be to have the clock on it automagically know the correct time after a power outage.
