We had an earlier model B&D Coffeemaker that developed a leak, so the great investigative engineer I am, I immediately place the order for this replacement coffeemaker. When it arrived, I liked the NO (period) DRIP pot so well, I "more" thoroughly checked inspected the old coffeemaker, only to discover that the leak came from a cracked pot! I then immediately ordered the same (replacement) pot that my new one came with. Now we have TWO GREAT coffeemakers with timers, one for home and the other for the camper! The coffeemaker(s) make GOOD coffee (GIGO), keeps good time, wakes up before I do .... just don't fill themselves .... highly recommended!Customer Review: Simple, stylish, inexpensive and makes a good cup of coffee

We've had the coffee maker for approximately 2 months without any issues. We bought it because it was recommended by Consumer Reports. The bottom line is that it makes a good cup of coffee. Brewing is relatively quiet especially at the end of the cycle. It takes the "flat bottom" basket style coffee filters, not the "cone" shaped filters. The pot is well designed. I appreciate the fill lines which compensate for water loss (coffee grounds and steam). What I appreciate the most is the no spill pot. Our previous coffee pot (also a Black & Decker) was poorly designed. I am glad to see that they learned from their past mistakes.Customer Review: Best buy

This coffee pot had the best rating by Consumer Reports and I see why. Not only is it cheaper than most, they put more thought into the design. It has a wide, flat mouth on the pot itself- no spills. It displays two levels on the pot: water and coffee (there's always a slight loss of water when brewing). You don't have to wrestle the thing open to put the grinds in (it's easy)- they put the basket in the top, so when you open the top, you have access to both the water and the basket. I don't like to fight with my coffeemaker befor I've had my coffee, so I'd like to personally recomend this for ease of use with half open eyes.Customer Review: Great Coffee Maker

Before purchasing a coffee maker I checked consumers Report. This unit was within my price range and received a favorable review.
The unit arrived on time well packaged and in excellent condition.I wanted a unit that was straight forward and didn't have to have a lot of frills to break, just make a good consistant cup of coffee.
This unit has exceeded my expectations for a unit in this price range.The timer works perfectly.I like that the water gauge is visible from both sides, the plate keeps the coffee hot for 2 hours and shuts off.
This is a great looking unit that so far has been a joy to own.

After reading several reviews of coffeemakers,including Consumer's Report, I decided on this Black and Decker model. I didn't want a coffeemaker that was overly expensive or had too many buttons to learn, but I wanted good coffee.
This coffeemaker has been terrific. It quickly delivers a very hot cup of coffee that extracts the flavor from the coffee grounds excellently. Three of us who drink the coffee in the morning are very pleased with the quick timing and the delicious coffee.
The carafe is large enough for many cups, and easy to clean. It does not drip.
This coffeemaker is a winner.
